Before beginning treatment, you’ll have a consultation with Dr Cherubini who will evaluate your condition and determine if shockwave therapy is appropriate for you. In most cases, she will recommend a series of four sessions per treatment area, spaced out over four weeks. During your first session, you’ll receive a low-intensity dose of shockwave therapy. As your symptoms improve over the following weeks, the intensity of the treatment will gradually increase to maximize effectiveness.
A Cortisone shot is an injection of a steroid medication that can help relieve pain, inflammation, and irritation in the joints. It can also help treat conditions such as arthritis, tendinitis, or bursitis. They are an insurance based treatment that we offer that is suitable for relieving short term pain
